EXHIBITION: THE ACROPOLIS IN LEGO® BRICKS
Admire the impressive LEGO® Acropolis model that was donated to the Acropolis Museum by the University of Sydney’s Nicholson Museum. Made of more than 120.000 LEGO® bricks, the model by Ryan McNaught took around 300 hours to build. This reconstruction of the Acropolis attracted more than 100.000 visitors at the Nicholson Museum. Look carefully, and you’ll see a souvlaki cart in the sanctuary of Artemis, and Lord Elgin overseeing the controversial removal of the Parthenon sculptures, despite the objections of Phidias, the artist who created them.
