We went back to Athens after our trip to Mykonos for only one night. We have already been to Athens before and stayed in a few hotels, but this time we wanted something different, so we planned to stay in an apartment instead of a hotel to have feel more like locals and experience how it could be like living in Athens. Thus, we booked one of the Athens View Lofts.

Location

When you have just one day in Athens and you want to explore the town, you have to choose your accommodation wisely. The loft we stayed at is located near the city centre, not far from the main attractions. It is only a few minutes walk to get to the Acropolis or a Metro station. It is also surrounded by a lot of cafes and restaurants.

Moreover, the flat is at the top of the building but you should not worry about the stairs, since the building has a lift you can use instead of climbing the stairs.

The Kitchen and Living Room

When you enter the flat you are right in the middle of the living room, where you can find a sofa for two and a table, where you can dine. We found a welcome gift on the table: a greek homemade sweet and some fruit.

There is a small kitchen next to the living room. Since the breakfast is included you can find coffee, tea, orange juice, sugar, honey, butter, homemade jam, and bread available right in your kitchen.

The Bedroom

The bedroom is very cosy and with a stylish contemporary design. There is a very comfortable double bed and also a desk with a chair if you plan to do some work. The bedroom and the living room are separated by a partition wall.

The Bathroom

The bathroom is very clean and modern, well designed with black and white tiles. There is a walking shower which has been separated from the toilet by an inner glass wall. You will find all the toiletries and clean towels in the bathroom.

A Terrace View

As I mentioned earlier, the apartment is on the top floor of a building. My favourite part of this loft is the terrace, where you can eat or drink with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. It is so lovely and relaxing sitting at the table while dining and enjoying the view of one of the world’s most famous historical attractions.
